Kia ora koutou, Malo, Greetings.  Welcome to St. Oran’s College. We are proud to provide a quality education based on Christian faith for girls from Year 7 to 13. Our college looks to embrace three key principles; community, equality and education.

Community – we strive for a caring, inclusive community where individuals are supported and everyone has a place.

Equality – we believe in equal opportunity and social responsibility, where all voices, beliefs and people are valued.

Education – we value holistic education where individuals are encouraged to become the best version of themselves.

We welcome all and promote an education that celebrates each person for who they are, their uniqueness and diversity, affirming that God loves us all.

Our College mission statement says “Empowering young women to be the best that they can be.” At St Oran’s when we talk about being "the best that we can be" we mean the holistic development of young people and one’s personal excellence – what is excellent for every individual according to their talents and strengths. We all excel when we meet high standards that are within our reach. Excellence should motivate us to be the best versions of who we are personally, to be the best version of God’s creation.

Schools play such a vital part in a young person's life and therefore it’s important that our students and your daughters don’t just feel like they attend St. Oran’s College, but that they belong at St. Oran’s. We know that when we build strong partnerships between home and school our young people have a greater chance of success. When we share experiences, and work together collectively and collaboratively, we can strengthen each member of the family that is St. Oran’s College.

Whaea e koe te iti kahurangi, ki te tuohu koe me he maunga teitei, me te aro ki te tuohu koe.

Reach for the star that clothes the heaven, if you must bow let it be to the loftiest mountain.

Nga mihi nui
